greetings of the day

What is the color of your skimmate from skimmer ?

Previously mine use to be brown. Lately it has turned black. My filter socks also use to be brown but now they r turning black.

What shall be the issue ?

There has been no changes in dosing nor in any schedule.

The only change is i got few more fishes no mortality and i am feeding 2 times now. Previously i use to feed only once a day.

Is this the thing to worry ?

Thank you all for replies in advance

I would say the added fish and extra food is causing more nutrients in your water column. This would certainly increase the bioload on your tank and resulting in the darker skimmate. The main concern would be what your nitrates and phosphates are reading at. For fish only these numbers are not much of a concern but for tanks with coral depending on the type of coral it could be bad for them. Also excess nutrients could result in a algae bloom as well.

ohkie got it... nutrients are in control... no nitrates and phosphates spike.. corals also are going good as always ...
