Skimmer abd filter floss?

I am thinking of getting a skimmer for my 30 gallon. However I run filter floss abd replace it every three days, and my tank is lightly stocked. Will a skimmer still be effective in my tank?

It can be use. If lightly stocked it might not do much more then aerate the water and maybe collect light skim. I have a skimmer on my 20 gallon aquarium . I get light skim as I don't have a large bioload. If you don't have an issue with your nutrients and the floss keeps the debri in check it might be just money wasted.
