Alright, I seldom give my two cents on equipment. However, I have had this accessory for almost a year now and my only regret is not getting this safety sooner.
A lot of things can cause a skimmer to go haywire and for how relatively inexpensive a level switch is for the cup I deem it as a must have to protect yourself.
In the past year this thing has saved me twice. Once due to a reaction with coral glue and the other due to power outage. An excellent feature is the 5 minute relay before start up after power failure. Lets your sump level stabilize before start up. A great option for those who didn’t buy a higher end skimmer with a float switch built into the cup and buying and external relay.
Also, it has worked both times as it should when I needed it.
