Hello wanted an advice between super reef octopus 3000int used for 350$ about 5 months used he said. N the other is octopus dnwb-200 brand new for 450$ so which would u do n think it's better. I have a 125 gallon n planning having couple tangs so I'm sure it'll be "heavy". Let me know which to do please n thank u

isnt the dnwb 200 an recirculating skimmer? i dont know where you are shopping for dnwb 200 for 450$ i see it online for 350$. i run a sro 1000sss on my 45 cube and i love it.. but i would like to get a recirculationg skimmer on my 180. a recirulating skimmer gets better air water contact time.. if i have the chance to change i would..

So do the 200?

The dnwb 200 skimmer is a recirculating or external skimmer. You will need a feed pump to run this type of skimmer. Many people including myself will "T" off of their return pump. Do you want to run your skimmer in your sump or external? As stated before $450 is expensive for that skimmer shop around it should be right around. $350.

He said its the skimmer n pump too for 450 plus installation too.which is better internal or exterior skimmer?

In my opinion yes. The bubble blaster pump on the super reef octopus skimmers out performs the OTP pumps that come with the regular octopus skimmers.

you can never over skim.. most people will over size there skimmers it it can handle any bio load they have in there take.. the bigger it is the more bio load you can have.. also the cleaner the water you have you can keep nice corals such as sps corals..

the super reef octopus 2000int could also work for your 125g tank too

Absolutely, as I use that on my 150g.
