So, I had a minor red algae flare up and for some reason, chemi clean works for me. I've had tanks when it didn't work, but with this one it does. Anyhow, like I said, I've used it before, but this time I forgot to unplug the skimmer. After some time, I look down at Rufus and say "dang Rufus, did you fart??!" He just looks up at me with this look.
Turns out the skimmer overflowed and that smell is way worse than any dog fart! Moral of the story, take your skimmer off line when using chemi clean. [emoji6]

The box is crushed, but it does say to keep using a skimmer and that it may need some adjusting to prevent overflows.

If you don't run a skimmer or some form of airation you run the risk of dropping oxygen levels to where fish may suffer.

Just saying, directions are there for a reason

Yeah, thanks. Like I said, I've used it numerous times, but I just forgot to unplug or adjust my skimmer this time. But thanks for coming to my rescue with a picture of the box. I'd be lost without you. ;)

If it's a hob skimmer you can't take the top off so you can run a pump in the tank or air line to add oxygen atleast this is w hat I've always thought
