Has anyone had any problems with their RO skimmer cracking? I purchased my skimmer back in May and i recently noticed the cracks. I’m just wondering if I got a bad body or this an issue that occurs often. So any similar stories?

So the skimmer is 3 months old? Has it been dropped or anything? If you visit coralvue's website open up a ticket as they'll probably send you a new one under the 1 year warranty :)

Yes I got a replacement in yesterday. I was just wondering if this was a reoccurring issue. Never has been dropped. Only removed twice to perform maintaince.

As @miPapareef said above, could be a fluke thing from manufacturing

I always struggle with that part as well. Just keep cranking on it with your hands, itll come loose eventually. You dont want to use your pump to turn it out or you risk cracking the pump housing (not that I know from experience )

Buy a threaded cap with the same size threads and install over the pipe threats to protect them and give you something to grab.

I got it. I screwed it back to the pump and then applied a bit a pressure not much and it came right out with pump.
