Hello, my skimmer is 15 months old and the pump went out. Installed new pump 3 days ago and I'm going through that crazy break in period again. What is happening and why?

Don’t quote me
but I believe it’s because as the water gets pushed through, H2O bonds get broken and reformed causing small pockets of bubbles, where as over time the slime and build up and wear on the pump doesn’t cause it to happen as much.

I'll go with that, sounds logical. The old pump impeller was kinda slime coated
