I was cleaning my skimmer and it fell off the counter and cracked. I'm sick to my stomach. My question is, and maybe it's a stupid one but thought I'd ask anyways, has anyone ever fixed a cracked skimmer successfully? I thought maybe I could silicone it, or fix it somehow before I buy a new one.

Would that be better than silicone? I just worry it may leak once I turn it back on.
I think most skimmer bodies are acrylic, so silicone won't adhere very well.
Using super glue gel should be best.
If the skimmer is in the sump a small leak won't matter, looks like it broke above the water line.

I broke one before and used super glue but it was just the cup. I’m sure several applications between hardening will do the job . As far as aesthetics … are you going to be showing off your skimmer neck ? Lol … good luck though

Thanks. I'll look for some Weldon4. I'm guessing it's aquarium safe?
Yes, when it cures. It isn’t an adhesive but a solvent that softens the acrylic causing it to adhere to itself.

Super glue will not compare structurally to using Weldon to properly bond acrylic.
