Skimmer bubbles from bottom and top

Just firing up this curve 9 I bought. First big internal skimmer I've set up.
Is it normal for it to bubble at the bottom of the unit like that?
Seems to turn the skimmer compartment into a jacuzzi lol.

Yes. It will lessen when it breaks in and starts skimming. A beast like that is going to need alot of bioload to do anything though...
