4wks into new tank, cycle done, two new fish in over the weekend. I have had my skimmer on/off during the last 4wks, with it off this past week. Now turned it on after addition of new fish, and I am noticing my DT full of extremely tiny bubbles everywhere. It has to be coming from skimmer as its the only thing that has changed.
I assume its just the simmer 'breaking in' again after being off. Turning off the skimmer solves the issue, but obviously I need the skimmer on. The bubbles have only been going on for a day, but I wanted to chk with the forum if it could be anything else? or if there is something specific I can do to get rid of the bubbles.

Red sea 170 max e, rear sump, carbon, floss, sponge, marine spheres

thx

Sounds like those are micro bubbles escaping from the skimmer.
Causes
-using some epoxies
-water level to high in sump, to much air in mix, skimmers all quite finicky
Try adjusting air down and confirm where those bubbles are coming from

double check your return pump is fully submerged.
I get bubbles when I forget to plug the ato back in.
If it is the skimmer, maybe rotating the whole skimmer 180 degrees would help, if that would put the skimmer water output further from the return pump.
