Skimmer bubbling over constantly

Little background.

I got ich in my dt. Took corals and put them in the sump and used copper in my dt. Corals are in a new tank and I am still quarantining the fish.

I turned the pump back after a week and turned the skimmer ( bubble magus nac7 ) now it just keeps bubbling over. Even set on max. It's in 9" of water like the manufacturer says. It did not do that before I shut the system down.

I have a 30"cube (94 gal) and a 29 gal sump.

Any thoughts.

Ummm placing corals in the sump and treating the display will still kill them... Unless the sump is off line and not connected to the tank period... Also it's about as good as fowlr now..: without draining that tank and replacing all the sand, rock, filters etc you can never have corals in it again.... As for the skimmer start running some carbon and give it a day or 2 and It should come back to normal operation...

I turned off the circulation pump before I treated so the sump was offline.

Corals were moved to a new tank before turning it back on. The tank is strictly a qt now. I removed most of the live rock to put in the new tank.
The coral never saw copper. And I will not use the same substrate in the new tank.
I will never not have a qt again.

Sounds like a good path. I agree with Troylee, runs some carbon and do a water change or two and the skimmer should come around.

Raise the skimmer some while it breaks in again. I have the same skimmer and found it works the best in 8" of water.

Thanks I did a 10 gallon change yesterday and I'm going to do another one today of at least 10.

Maybe up to 40 if I can make enough water
