Skimmer choice help

Trying to decide on protein skimmer....60 gallon flat back hex tank with trigger 26 sump...
Looking at eshopps 120, bubble magus curve 5, or a space saver reef octopus....what is recommended any other options?

The cheaper the better, but want something to work well

Opinions will vary greatly, but I will say I really like the BMC5. It doesn't seem to get a lot of love, but I've had good success with one. Heck, I was using it temporarily on a lightly stocked 120g and it worked great. Sorry I can't speak to your other choices as I've not used them.

Lifereef. And they are upgradable if you decide to go bigger

Somatic S60 is hard to beat at $199. Build quality is really good at this pricepoint

The lifereefs look nice but are expensive...
That somatic s60 looks awesome I'll have to see if I can fit a 22.5" tall skimmer in my stand

I have the reef octopus ss 110. Zero problems, easy install, and IMO the price fits the product

So the problem I'm having with the reef octopus is I have to use the space saver version and I have seen several reviews saying that design doesnt work as well...
Leaning to either the icecap k2 (more than I want to spend), simplicity 120dc(maybe the 240), somatic s60, or the eshopps axium x-120, maybe the reef octopus 150sss

Out of those what would be the best fit for a 60 gallon display and trigger 26 sump?

I have the eshopps x-160, quiet has worked the same since i purchased last November. Easy enough to clean and was relatively easy to set up. Just dumped my weekly black waste. I have never owned the others to compare though. Fits in my diy 24” sump. Added an eshopps lift skimmer stand recently so i could control the gate valve more since i made my skimmer compartment a little deeper than i would have liked.

My choice was decided for me though. A store was closing and I got this beast for $150 brand new lol.

You will get a million different opinions on this topic but you may want to check out the coral box skimmers.. all the features of high end units at half the cost.

I have a Bubble magus Curve 7 & Bubble Magus B10. Love them both! Can’t go wrong with BM imo.

Waterdog sent me a message and is selling me a used icecap k2-120 for a decent price, so that is what I have decided to do, I appreciate everyone's help, and hope the k2 works well! Haha
