Have a 75 gallon reef with a 30 long sump. ATM running a 6" reef octo 150. Lookiong to get a diablo xs 160. Anybody know of any better that will blow the diablo out of water for under 400?

Do you own that skimmer? Seems like a very good price, but to out perform the diablo almost to good to be true.

I have the XS160. Trouble i have had with it, is finding the "perfect" setting for the skimmer. Either wet or dry ? Seems to collect better or more wetter vs dry. Once u find its sweet spot in between the low and high water lines on the body, it runs and collects great skim mate. No regrets here..

Any progress with this? Im going to build the same setup. Looking at reef octopus (not sure which), swc, eshops....any other options in this $350-400 range. Thanks.

Spending to much money for just the name.......
The pump makes any skimmer. Get yourself a used Skimmer housing, large enough for your needs, then buy a Bubble Blaster Pump, now you've gotten a good skimmer, for cheap, and just as good as the big boys. Then you play around with adding recircs on it.

I have several people out there that are using that Skimmer I linked. It runs just like the big boys to, but half the cost, because its not a brand name.
