I have a JBJ 28 a Nanocube and I am down to 3 skimmers that will fit/work for me so I'm asking what you all think on which to choose.

1. Eshopps Nano
2. Euro Nano Skimmer II
3. Remora C or Remora C Nano looks like both will work for my tank

Thanks
Ed

I have an aes in my tank, its very quiet unless I accidentally put the cup back on improperly. I have to remove the tubing from the side to make it work and so there is no adjustment except for the air control., because of this it is a very wet skimmate. I also find it difficult to remove the cup quite often as it sort of sticks. I took some 5000grit sandpaper and smoothed it out as the mold lines really accentuated the problem. Even still i have accidentally disassembled the entire unit twice trying to get the cup off.
I will say that even with the problems it shouldn't be discounted as it does the job intended. My son even dropped a crayola marker in and it removed the dye from the water quickly. I should have taken a pic of the crystal blue water that came out.
I have not watched the others in action so I can't speak for them but the ability to open the tank top without messing with it is very nice

Thanks for your review, I have a skimmer that I recently got but it's just a little too big to fit in one of the chambers.
I'm toying with the idea of removing one of the chamber walls so it will fit nicely but I'm not sure how that will effect the sump flow.

I will ask the question in a new thread and well see if anybody has done it.

im a fan of eshopps even though my pump quit today, its a great skimmer, very easy to clean the cup, silent operation. this is with the larger s200. i havent used their nano skimmer yet

I have used the Remora with a mag 5 pump and I love it. Never had any issues with it.

OK, I bought the newer Remora "S" and it looks great. Looks like it will fit on back perfect.
Only one minor issue is that I will have to adapt how the pump sits in the sump. Seems like with the existing tank pump in the left chamber (looking from the front) , that I may have to remove that pump and use only the right one for filtration.
Anybody ever run their 28 Gallon NanoCube on only one pump for the filter basket?

Although I haven't had experience with the skimmers you have listed, I have had great experience with reef octopus due to them being reliable and upgradeable. Just my .02

You guy's need to look at the first line in my last post. Specifically the part about " I bought the newer Remora "S" "

So I'm now asking about using only one of the existing circulation/filter pumps instead of 2 so I can fit the pump for the Remora in that chamber easier.

It might be worth a try to fit the outlet hose to your return outlet, although it may release micro bubbles into your dt. If you have upgraded your return pump it will likely cause no issues, what are you running for circulation currently

AquaMaxx and AquaC are the cream of the crop when it comes to HOB skimmers. I wouldn't think twice if I had to choose between the three listed in the first post.

But why not use the Aquamaxx? Alright, alright kidding aside. We don't need to look at anything, it's a simple mistake my man. I find that the nicer you are the more help you'll get, so let's take it easy. We're just anxious to help up. No need to get your feathers ruffled. Let's get back on topic.
