Skimmer Cleaning or not

Hi all

I have a Micro Reef Tank and I just cleaned my skimmer from external coralline.

Do you clean it also ? Or it’s not advisable ?

I don’t like to see glasses or equipment with dirty look .

If you clean it, how do you do it ? And with what?

I clean nearly everything with a simple diluted vinegar bath. Stuff works great.
