My new skimmer has been out of control.... I figured it was the break in period, but it's so excessive. Foam just spills from the adjustment tube and the skimmer cup.

Then I remembered that I dosed Seachem Stressguard after my tank upgrade. My one spot foxface freaked out and just destroyed his side on the new rock (he's fine now).

So. Should I do a biiiig water change to reduce the stressguard? Right now my skimmer is off because it's so ridiculous. Or should I let it explode back into the sump until it skims it all out?

TIA.

Try raising it a little, you can use egg crate or something similar to accomplish this.

I raised it another 2 inches and it's still crazy. Should I let it just dump out back into the sump then?

The drain tube is open to allow it to go back into the sump. Or I'd have to dump the cup every 30 seconds. It's an sca-180.

What size tank? What skimmer brand? Is there a way to dial the pump or limit the intake air? What do the directions say?
How long did it go without a skimmer? What skimmer did you use before this one?
Can you post a pic of the other side? Where water is coming out.
Do you have the gate valve, or whatever controls water release, all the way open?
