Looking for some advice. I want to upgrade to a newer model Deltec skimmer. I'm just torn about which one to get. Currently, I have a 65 gallon system with trigger Systems Ruby 30 sump. Have already been using Deltec skimmers and have been very impressed with them.

My question is what size to get...Looking at the 600 and the 1000 series. I always like to go bigger than what I need and hopefully within the next 12 months, I want to upgrade to a larger system...possibly around the 130 gallon area.

Obviously, the 1000 series would go with the larger tank but if I pull the trigger on that one now, will it be too big for current system?

Just put it on a timer and skim part-time if you are worried it is too much for current tank
