For years I have used skimmers from Octopus 110 to Bubble Magus with a lot of miss, my current 210gallon has a Simplicity 240dc but the bio-load is a little heavy for it so I am looking for input on a good DC Controlled Skimmer that won't break the bank but, also have replacement parts available for future failures or breaks. When I started looking and reading reviews by the hundreds I have found all skimmers the sun shines out the cone , all skimmers suck, my skimmer is perfect.
What are you Guys and Gals running??

This is a endless debate.. I have owned many skimmers over the last 3 decades from junk to lifereef and have been mostly happy with them all. Because of limited budget I purchased a Coralbox DC plus skimmer 6 months ago and absolutely love it in every respect.. started skimming almost immediately, screw type gate valve and DC control allow for precise adjustments, collection cup overflow shut off sensor, almost completely silent, super easy to disassemble and produces tons of skimate.

Reef octopus diablo. Hasn't skipped a beat. Only when left dirty it does, but once the pump is cleaned, it's magic.

I would go either reef octopus again with the varios pump they have or a Seapora/JNS/aquamaxx tbh. They're great for the price. Btw, JNS makes aquamaxx so they're identical skimmers at a cheaper price. If I had to get another skimmer, I'd look into Seapora/JNS/aquamaxx
