Skimmer equipment questions

I bought this skimmer from my lfs a few months ago. They couldn't give me a name on it but said it could definitely handle my system(bout 550 gallons). It's been months and still can't seem to dial it in. They sold it to me with a air pump (fluval Q2) and a pump( it says model 24 on it). I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it and if it has the right hear hooked up to it so it's running efficiently.

Its a beckett style skimmer. As for who made it I do not know.

I have a MRC MR-1 beckett style skimmer with a Mag 12 that I am about to hook up on my new 135 gallon build. I was just wanting to hear other's experiences and pointers for cleaning and maintenance.

Thank you I was hoping my lfs wouldn't steer me wrong but ya never know. I was floating around posts a few weeks ago and saw one that someone had one just like it so I wasn't sure if it was a home made or not. But I'm just guessing mines older just wanted to check and make sure it's plumbed up right and what not.

Just that it has the correct size pump for the tank size and air pump. Im sure too much water and air would just make it go crazy but just wanted to check.
