Skimmer exploded.. kinda

this is a semi-emergency type thing. the tank will be ok with the fuge for a bit, but i need a new skimmer the only problem is welllll... i only have 18" of height to play with. My current skimmer is a IM SkimMate Ghost Full.

Tank is 100g total.

Aio or do you have a sump? What do you mean by 18’’ to play with. Send a pic if possible of the space.

sump... the cabinet in which the sump is in is 18" in height.

Never used one, but I think the tunze skimmers are on the short side..

i considered an outside skimmer but have no room for that like that.

its the full sized one. honestly i might have to find a way to plumb an external one, itll become easier for me to remove the cup. cause like this i keep moving the sump to get the cup out.

And what went wrong with it? If I have the right one, I’ll send it to you for free. I don’t need it and if you do, then it’s not sitting in my closet being unused.

welllllll. two things, the pump trashed and the air line began to weaken.

weaken in the sense that it began to just slide right out whenever skimmer was running.

Yea there’s not many options lol. I looked pretty good. How did I end up ordering myself a new skimmer? lol
