I believe it's a reef octopus int-150 and it came to me used with a bubble blaster 2000 and a ball valve between the pump and skimmer.

I've had it for years and it worked fine. Putting it in my new tank so I ran it in a trash can with some vinegar for a couple hours, scrubbed it and rinsed.

Placed it in the new sump and it ran pretty much like normal for a couple days. I check it today and it had stopped bubbling up the neck and is now producing micro bubbles out the overflow.

I understand this is common with break in, but why would it run normal for days then do this? The bubbles in the body even look different than they did.

Hello and how’s things

Is the tank new or just the sump? Did you feed anything or dose anything before this started? I would let it go for a day or 2 and see if it goes away. If not you may want to make some adjustments to see if it helps.
