Alright coming here for some input on how to fix this problem. I fitted all my parts to my skimmer together then went to remove them and cannot for the life of me get this fitting out of the other one. Shouldnt be a big deal right? Well.....The problem is that now the pump does not line up where it is supposed to. I have pictures here to show you what I mean. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sorry 1st picture came out sideways

Try getting the outer part submerged in hot water wile keeping an ice cube in the center part. Just to try to expand the outer with heat and keep the center contracted with cold. Might work.

I even tried a strap wrench on this thing and it didn't budge and now I'm afraid if I do move it, that it will just break it. Can I just use pvc glue on the fittings screw it on until it lines up where I need it even though it will be a little loose? Not sure how long I would have to screw it on before it perma locks up with the glue.

I wouldn't glue it together. You'll need it to come apart for maintenance cleaning or repair/replacing.

When you do get it apart, spread a very light coating of food grade silicone grease on the threads and especially on the O ring. It will come apart much easier from then on.

To get them apart you need two pair of channel lock type pliers, one on the larger collar or ring and the other as a back up on the smooth surfaced flange. With the two opposing forces they should come apart easily, we use the same unions on all our chorination systems for drinking water disinfection pumps and come across this a lot in the AZ heat.
