I will be setting up my first saltwater tank, a 40 breeder, in the near future(2-3 months) and am trying to get everything i need together due to a full time student part time working budget. Keeping budget in mind, would I be able to run two Reef Octo Nano NS-80 skimmers and that suffice? Those two together will cost sub $100, which would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I can't figure out how to edit this post, but would one Reef Octo BH50 Nano be better? I will be running this as main filter(other than powerheads and live rock).

At the bottom it says I may not edit my posts so I'm sure I'll have plenty more as I forget to add stuff. I do not plan on running a sump, and am really only looking for hob skimmers. I know water changes are key and I'll be on top of that as well.

The skimmers you mentioned are somewhat useless. There are plenty of people selling used HOB skimmers for very good prices here. Also if you are just starting out and as long as you don't over stock you might not even need a skimmer for a while....

I use a BH-2000 on my 40B but you could also use a BH-1000. You don't want 2 skimmers use just 1.
