Skimmer for 40 breeder

What is your favorite skimmer for a 40 breeder that you have/had? I would prefer inexpensive and high quality, but I understand for the most part "you get what you pay for" applies almost all the time.

I have an Aqua C Remora Pro on my 40 breeder and couldn't be more pleased with it.

Are we talking HOB or in sump? I had good luck with reef octopus NWB110

I have the reef octopus nwb 150 on my 75 and it works great I would think the 110 would be a good choice as long as you are running a sump and have room for it in there as these have a decent footprint

I have a 40B with a 20L sump and using the SCA 301 skimmer and it works great. Hard to beat for the price

I dont have any skimmer just a hang on filter. All my expensive corals are doing great. I just do a 5 Gal WC every week end.

^this. You won't find a better constructed skimmer for the price, period. It's a great skimmer and gives you some room to grow as long as you stay under a 100g. IMO that is where you find inexpensive but high quality.

Next would be a skimz sm121, it performed very well and has a tiny footprint. However the pumps are bit or miss and skimz doesn't like to cover under warranty when their are problems. I've never had experience with the smaller reef octopus skimmers but the larger skimmers I've used are good performers and well constructed.
