Skimmer for 40g Nuvo

I took a chance on the innovative marine ghost midsize skimmer designed for the Nuvo 40 but it's the loudest part of my tank. So far it's only pulling a very light tan skim. I've tried tuning it each and every way but I don't see much change if any difference. The tank is only 4 months old but I figured I would be pulling more skimmate. I have a blenny and 2 clowns with a CUC. Am I wrong in thinking it should be pulling a better skim at this point? Any suggestions on a new skimmer if that's the case? Don't mind to do a HOB since my options are limited with no sump. Thanks!

Both are excellent skimmers that pull. The AM works almost immediately and pulls like crazy in my experience, and the RO is a little more difficult to set up, but once it gets going, it's on par with the AM. If you're new, the AM is good for beginners since it's easy to set up and is a workhorse.

When I get home I will see if the IM Skimmer has improved(doubtful) then probably go with the RO. Not sure I like the blue acrylic look. Thanks for the info.
