Skimmer for 50gal Lagoon

I am building out a Innovative Marine 50 Lagoon into a frag tank. Looking for skimmer suggestions. I would like to use a DC skimmer for controlled water speeds like the OCTO ones but they are all very overpowered for this small of a tank. What skimmers do people like for small tanks like this that will have a low fish load.

There is no such thing as an over powered skimmer. The size relates to how many times times the tank water can pass through the skimmer in a given time. Diameter and height factor in as well. Buying too big would just be a waste of money on unnecessarily large equipment and electricity use.. This means you really do not have to be particularly worried about the selection.

Sounds like an application for a space saving skimmer. They’re not as efficient as external pump skimmers but take less space
