Hey everyone I am putting together the equipment for my 40 gallon breeder reef tank with a 20 L Sump. Have been thinking about going with the Reef Octopus 110 4" but I am curious what everyone else out there likes!

I have that skimmer, on a 40gb it work great. but the key thing is to keep your feedings a bit high. For one week i went out of town and could only get a Feeding once at day. after I got home i could not keep a foamhead for a while "2weeks". So right now i feed 2 times a day, also target feed my corals every 3 days and the foamhead STAYS ok. another thing is i wish it created a thinker foamhead really but sometimes it pulls some good size food out of the water.

This skimmer has been my first skimmer so i dont know what a really bad skimmer works like, or what the best skimmer do either. Thats my input, haha.

Awesome thanks for your reply. I am thinking about going with that one unless someone can wow me with something different and not way out of the budget haha. Probably good that it works well on overfeeding since my girlfriend has to feed pretty much every other day since I work 24 hours a day. hopefully can find that good balance with her overfeeding ha.
