Right now i have a 20g, housing mostly sps with a CSS65 (Corallife Super Skimmer). It's rio pump decided to die the other day like most of the others i've had. So, i'm in the market for a new skimmer for the 20g until i setup the 75g that i have been planning for Jan/Feb.

I've been looking specifically at the ocotpus needle-wheel 150 for the 75g. I've heard very good reviews about these skimmers and it's at a good price, around $175. Any inputs idea's or other skimmers for my situation would be helpful.

Thanks. :)

Steve,

Octupus is a nice skimmer. I used to have one on my frag tank NW110 model. It did a pretty good job for me for almost 6 months.. will this skimmer be an in-sump or external?

the MSX160 is not the same as the OCto NW 150. The MSX have better pumps, bubble plates, and a larger body.

The Octo NW 150 is still a great skimmer for the money and would do great on your 75g

You are correct. I was thinking about the Octopus Extreme 160, not the NW 150.
