Just looking for a skimmer (or 2) that will perfect for a fish only 8 x 4 x 2.
a few recommendations will be great.
need any more info let me know thanks :)

I like the asm,g6 ,easy to clean ,reliable, happy reefing

If beneath the cabinet, I’d look at the Tunze 9430 DC. I‘ve owned it’s smaller cousin, the 9410 DC and the Tunze‘s are as close to set and forget as you can get. Those Tunze’s are very underrated and often overlooked skimmers. If you have a basement sump with no height restrictions, I’d talk to Jeff at Lifereef and have him build you one of his 48 to 60 inch venturi skimmers with the upgraded XL collection cup.

So sorry for the lack of info, yes under the cabinet. Thanks for all the fast replies. I’ll be looking up some of these skimmers now thanks all!

I would get a pair of skimmers. Two "normal" skimmers will crush a super-high end skimmer. You have room for a large sump under that tank, so make sure that you have room for extra gear.

Fish Only usually have quite a bio load, so skim heavy.

I would also do a Tunze, but I would not care if they were AC or DC - only real downside is that it is hard to find used ones since people love them so much... same with LifeReef.

This would work

i was thinking of going down the 2 skimmers route to be honest.. bit more work on maintenance but i feel it will be better overall. would i be looknig at 2 1,000L capcity for just an example only a deltec sc1456 dc? or would i should i really be looknig at 2x 2,000L skimmers?
and wow thansk all so far this has been great finding out for this size of tank what skimmers are available for me.. i've never owned this big before so it's all a brand new learning curve at this size lol

also a question what is the Red Sea Reefer Skimmer 900 like?
anyone actually used it? i could easily get two of these.

I would get like a pair of 300 gallon(ish) skimmers. Stick with proven stuff... skimmers come and go, but the ones that have been around are usually good ones.

SKIMZ DC SKIMMER SM253 is the skimmer i am almost about to pull the trigger on it, just want actual people who have used the skimmers opinion or know about them would be handy i don't trust too many online reviews on google these days

I would just get a big SRO. External would be nice but in sump ok too. If I wanted to spend a bunch of money and/or go DC I would probably just go straight to Bubble King.

Edit - Actually now that I look, the RO Regal 300SSS would be a great option.

More over brand I would decide on a type and I recommend a recirculating Skimmer.
Far more adjustable and not dependent on water height. There are internal and external versions to fit all needs.
BRS did a great job of going over skimmer performance in a video series, worth a watch.

I have a Reef Octo Regal 300 Ext.
Could not be more pleased.
Here is a picture so you can understand what I mean instead of just saying this one.

thanks all, here in the UK externals are not so much a thing, (america always get the good stuff) :D i have seen a few don't get me wrong, but i pulled the trigger on a
SKIMZ SK254 SICCE PSK1200X2
copy and pasted that but i like it in big bold letters lol i am quiet excited to using this skimmer!
