I've been looking into AIOs the last few weeks. After getting down to a FijiCube 38 gallon peninsula and a IM 40 gallon, I decided on the FijiCube. The problem now is deciding on the best skimmer that sits inside the filter area. I'm assuming the skimmers they sell are not the greatest. I will not be adding an additional sump underneath the tank.

I've always used Reef Octopus skimmers and have loved them, but there are none that fit within the back area. The tank specs list the skimmer refugium area as 3.94"x 5.9". Does anyone have recommendations of a skimmer that can fit in that small footprint?

Any recos here? I see a few FijiCubes out there but not a ton of specs on skimmers being used.

Open to names of brands that typically offer a smaller footprint, too.

Cadlights pls 50 elite 2 is a great preforming skimmer. I Believe it will fit. Only thing is the company isn’t known to have the best customer service.

I think I just saw a used one on the Nano reef forum classifieds

I have a Tunze 9004 in my 16g frag tank and it's worked very well for a year now.

The Fiji cube skimmer looks similar
In design to the old reef octo nanos that are retired now. I have an icecap k1 nano
Skimmer on a 45 jbj and it works great. Also a tunze 9001 or 9004 are hard to beat.

I have this tank, and use the 9004, it’s fits

Look at ice cap K-1 or K2-50 which looks and performs like a full sized skimmer
