I have a SWC 150 xtreme skimmer, been up and running for about a month, and i also am running 200 ml of NPX bioplastics had them going for about 3 weeks, the last 2 weeks or so my skimmer has just been going crazy with foam bubbling over the cap, could this be in correlation with the bioplastics warming up, will it slow down?

I've never used the Bioplastics but if you're not adding anything else then I'll bet that is the culprit. I have no idea if it will improve over time. You could try lowering the dosage to see if it helps.

How deep is the water that it is in? I've got an SWC xtreme cone 160 in 7 inches of water. I had to raise it because it was foaming a lot. Make sure you have all your valves open for now. Mine still foams a bit when I put in new phosphate filters, but dies down after about 24 hours.

Did you happen to use chemi-clean or some type of reef putty recently?

Have you had furniture polish near your tank. Thats always a culprit with our tank.

Thanks for the responses..Ritter im only at half dosage as it isi could maybe take them offline for a few days..
K2 its in almost 8 inches of water..maybe ill try putting it up to 6? or maybe right above the intake? what did you set it at?
Rev i used JB weld to mount some frags, another possibility is the potable PVC cement may be leaching out?
ASL, i did use some plexus on the acrylic in the last two weeks, but dont think i got any in the tank

Jb weld and glue both will do it.... Leave it wide open over night and run some carbon to clean the water... Carbon for 24 hours should do the trick then re-adjust it... Hth
