Skimmer Going Crazy

This has been one learning experience for someone thats starting out, but i won't give up. From Fluke to ICH to Velvet, losing all life stock in such a short space of time...smh.

Any how, my tank is in fallow, so i decided to give it a dose of prazipro. Feed the corals reef roids and ghost fed the tank mysis shrimp. The only thing i did was pour the prazi in the skimmer section and everything was fine.
Good thing i suffer from insomnia...started smelling like something burning, only to find the skimmer waste that i collect in a bottle over flowed because the skimmer is dumping water. Luckily i built the stand with a 3" depth in case of a leak. The skimmer won't stop dumping water no matter which way i dial it, so i shut it off....was this caused by the Prazi? and how do i stop the skimmer from going nuts. I will check the air line that goes outside when the sun rises.

probably the meds. I would turn off for a few days. No desperate need during fallow periods unless you are feeding a ton. Maybe run for coulple hours on and off to get it to settle down. Wait 24 hrs first.

Go get some Renuzit air freshners. The kind that just stand and absorb odor. I use them with no issues and can help the smell.

I have never dosed Prazi, but yes, I am willing to bet it is from that. EVERYTHING foreign causes skimmers to go crazy. It will fix itself eventually. I normally run my drain tube from the skimmer cup through some carbon, back into the sump which helps with most things and get the skimmer working again almost overnight.
