Skimmer gone crazy

Did another 5 to be safe, thanks
Do not remove more than 20% on a water change the water you taking out has useful bacteria tell breakdown unused food and waste by removing too much water you make it almost to clean you need to leave as much bacteria two breakdown wasting food so your protein skimmer can pick it up and what I mean by to clean is the coral might not always like water that does not have crucial live bacteria it's like starting a tank from new and cycling on my hundred 50 gallon tank I do a 40 gallons water change every two weeks and I might 300 gallons I do water changes 20% it has never done me wrong always listen to what people say with an open mind and then Google it it will tell you the true facts it will tell you more than the coral dealer that's old you it

I just did another 5 gallons because I lost a few fish this week. Nitrate/ Trites, amonia and all the other stuff I don't test for probably swung up a little.5 gallons a week has been working for me for the past few years pretty well.

If your losing fish don't be afraid of doing a 50% WC, the commercial guys will sometimes do 70-80% when there's a problem. Dead fish is a good sign of a problem. Do you use R/O water? It's a must have
