Skimmer help

I just got this skimmer today second hand and I beleave the model is a reef octopus nb110 I was just wondering how I dile it in

You should be able to Dial it in using that gray pipe attached to it. If you rotate that pipe the water level should rise in the skimmer. Just turn it slowly. Sometimes they have a delay. If you adjust to quickly or turn it too quickly it might overflow. Slow & gradual turns. Turn it a little, Wait a few minutes. Turn it some more. . . Eventually you will find the happy place for the skimmer.

How do I know where that happy place is

It will depend on where the bubbles reach in the neck. You'll probably want the water level somewhere between the first black ring and the base of the cup. I would start around there or maybe a little under that. Give it some time and watch how well the bubbles get lifted into the collection cup. If there aren't quite reaching the collection cup you may want to raise the water level in the skimmer a little more. Some like a real watery skim, Some like thick. It just depends. Basically, watch how it overflows over into the cup.

It will look something similar to this skimmer in the video. Obviously it isn't the same skimmer but the process is all the same.

Have have similar one. I dial. Wait 5mins. and adjust from there. Yours is looking good. I would wait to see if you get bubbles flowing over, or a bit of liquid, whichever one you choose b

Right now i have it where the bubbles are popping at the base of the cup schould I let it run over night and see what happens

I would. Than see if anything is in the cup. If not bump it up a little.
