Hello everyone!

I'm currently running a 65 gallon DT with a homemade 40 gallon sump in the basement. I came home today and noticed my skimmer was going nuts! Nothing I could adjust would make the skimmer stop over flowing. Bubbles like crazy folks.

I just cleaned the tank this weekend and scrapped the back wall and epoxied some corals down. Could the epoxy have caused this problem? Or the excessive algae in the tank now that it was scrapped off.

Just curious.

Im no expert, but i would think it was the epoxy. You could probably take the collection cup off and let it overflow for awhile. It should work itself out.

I've heard certain glues can cause that. For some reason with my setup, if I stir up a bunch of algae my skimmer slows down. Happened to me yesterday. Could be something I'm doing wrong though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Just wanted to double check and make sure I didn't need to shut it down or start worrying stuff was dying or something along those lines.

It was the coralline red epoxy from brs and a bottle of gel type super glue.
