Hello every one i have a vertex IN-80 and i have been having a hard time getting correct skim, i skimmed out about 3 gallons of water today some of it went on the floor :choler: is this just a thing you have to get used to?? could use any help.pics and videos would be great :xd:

Is it new??? If so run it wide open for like 3 days to break in and then adjust it to skim, a slime coat needs to be formed inside before it work properly... If it's not new maybe your adding something to the tank to cause it like a certain food or coral epoxy etc... Are you putting anything in the water???

i know its broken in the guy o got it from ran it for about 3 months. i did use some aquamend to get some corals to stay put on Thursday. would that still be effecting the skimmer>?

yes Epoxy is a big time skimmer irritant. That will cause the skimmer to go crazy for sure. you will probably have to do a water change then fire the skimmer back up until you can get it to settle down.

Aquamend.....ouch! Tht sometimes takes a couple weeks to get out of your system. Like mojo said, water changes will help. Carbon will help and just keep your skimmer running back into your sump in the meantime, unless its causing things outside the sump to get wet.
