Skimmer help

I’m using a bubble Magnus curve a5 but don’t seem to be getting any foam?
Iv current only got ro water in the tank and some Sand that was added today ( yes I washed it first)

my salt will be added Sunday but did not want to let the ro water just sit there so I turned it in on and this is all I’m getting from the skimmer.
if I turn it up in the collection cup all I get is water? Any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks

You aren’t going to get foam with fresh water. Just larger bubbles. That’s the reason they aren’t used in great water tanks.

Yer I got 3 power heads
2 main ones and an extra 1 to help with the salt mix on Sunday

Dont expect from skimmer to produce anything untill there's in water than can actually be skimmed.....

So, no fish, no cuc, no waste = no skimmate.

Even with low bioload, dont expect much.....
