So this skimner is unmarked. Other than an odyssea pump

Appears to be a hang on or sump. And is set for in sump. Any ideas on this skimmer?

I think i just found it on amazon. Its an odysea skimmer also. Any one have opinions on it? I have it running through a vvinegar/water bath right now....

The tank it is from is a 75g. Will eventually be sps dominant. Looks like I may need a bigger skimmer. Came with tank so cant complain. Thanks guys

somethings better than nothing for sure :)
i like to think the bigger the better in regards to skimmers ;)

It's an Odyssea, but now sure which model. Haven't heard much about them, but from what I know they're comparable to RO.

I would 100% disagree with this. The odyssea are no where near comparable to the least expensive reef octopus models. The design is inferior, build quality inferior, standpipe inferior, venturi and pump inferior. I have use the odyssea 75 and 160 as well as modified both. They are entry level skimmers at best and low quality products.

You know 5 minutes before reading this...i was placing an order for an ro system and filter socks and decided to just go ahead and get a reef octopus skimmer lol....good lookin out so i dont have buys remorse

Well in all honesty I would have gotten a quality rodi before a skimmer as water quality is the most important thing in a tank :) skimmer is behind rodi in my book, but an important part of a reef!

Good thing i bought both =) ordered the brs 4stage.... i was ok getting water from lfs when i just had the 29gal.... the 75 is too much to transport.

My mistake then. I've only heard from a few owners that they work well like ROs. Guess the sample pool wasn't big enough. Thanks for your input on that!
