I am looking for a new skimmer for my 100 gallon mixed reef with 33 gallon sump. Looking for best bang for buck without killing bank account.

I am partial to my reef octopus I would go with the reef octo 150-sss there about $250 imo best bang for buck.

ASM skimmers work very well. They are not the most attractive but for the price they are great.
