Skimmer identification help

so the pictured skimmer is being sold locally and I was wondering if anyone knows what it is and is it worth buying.

1) It looks pretty old in terms of design.
2) It looks like it is from a fairly deep tank.

How tall is it? I think you'll want the water level outside that skimmer about half way up the body.

i saw one similar this week. it is an external skimmer. the pump is one thing that will affect the value. whether it leaks is obviously something to check. I would definitely use it if i had a lot of volume/bio load.
