Yup, thats a Coralife Super Skimmer. Looks like the 220g Skimmer, but I may be wrong on that one. If its close to 25" tall, then thats the one.

Yes it's close to that I can't find any videos or anything of this model just the new generation ones I got a wood stone for skimmers but it doesn't seem to work i hooked it all up and water just flows out of the inner hammer and into the outer no big bubbling even when adjustingthe drain flow do I need the certain pump and impeller?

I'm guessing that the tiles on the ground are 12x12 that size is not the 220,. Also does not look like the stock needle wheel pump and you are missing some parts.. These skimmers can work but are known for flood problems.. Keep it as a backup and buy something more useful and efficient.. Just my 2c.. Owned 2 of these in the past.. Cause they were free.. I ended up giving them away for free as well shortly after lol

Your missing the bubble box.. And for these skimmers.. Is needed.. They dump. Bubbles into the display.. Also missing both air intake baffles and exaust air baffle.. Like I said that looks like a mag5 or similar pump slapped on it.. Which will not work.. Ide look up coralife super skimmer and download a pdf of the manual.. Honestly ide say it's not worth it for the quality of that skimmer you would be as well off with a 40 dollar. Seaclone

Ya I contacted coral ice to see if I could find the manual because I sure can't but I might just save up some money and go get a good one any good ones for the price someone told me reef octopus I have a 120 with a 40 sump thanks for the help guys

Most skimmers for in sump... Reef octopus, vertex, bubble magnus.. All great and get the job done.. Currently I run a octopus nwb 150.. I ran this skimmer on a 125 with 40 sump.. Worked great... Now I run it on an 82 shallow with the same sump.. Works great.. And it's a bit older model so it's got a great price tag on it think i saw em for like 130 shipped on some sites

You don't need the bubble box. I've got a Coralife on my tank. Modified, it doesn't use the bubble box, and my pump has a mesh impeller.
See here:
Modifing the Coralife Super Skimmer CSS | Tyler Merrick
Originally did not know they op had a sump or modifications would have been recommended.. You would not want that mod in your display as it looks terrible! In the sump who cares. And if I were to put this on a display it would def have a bubble box.. As the ones I have dealt with push more bubbles out of the exhaust hose then into the collection cup lol but yes going into the sump I modify almost all my skimmers with a reverse durso outfit works great and makes them super quiet.. good advice!! BTW how did you do your mesh.. I tried to do a mesh impeller mod on my octopus to try it out.. And while I made finer bubbles.. I seemed to have to clean my neck and cup more often to allow the constant foam production. I went back to my stock impeller and I only need to clean the neck and cup every 3-4 days.. I'm currently trying to retrofit a squeegee on a crank for a neck cleaner that I can just crank real quick instead of an electric one as I don't want to utilize another plug for something so trivial lol

Ok so all I need for this to run is the right pump pretty much because even the wood air stones won't work i even tried to put them on the intake of my pump so it can get the bubbles better but doesn't seem to do anything also another question even with the valve all the way down my water lvl is just below the inner chamber is this how it should be with bubbles filling up the rest or should the water lvl go all the way to the top of the collector almost? Sorry this is my first skimmer and im trying to understand it better i appreciate the help guys

CSS, I would get a different skimmer as there is no way it can handle a 110g tank, even modified.

You want the foam to come 1/4 up into the neck of the skimmer. Correct, airstones are not going to work on these things.
Yes, you will need a good pump, up to 750gph, either a skimmer pump or a water pump, then modifying the impellar.

Well the air stones were for skimmers I guess the small hang on ones so I was hoping they would work the pump is only 250 gph but I may try to modify the impeller just to see how it works if not I'll just probly buy the pump for the coralife 220 new model unless u guys have better sugestions for good skimmer pumps under 100$

I believe that the original pump for that skimmer was at least 650gph. I'm at work, but tomorrow ill link the pump I used and modified. It was only $40 I believe.

That's for sure a Coralife Super Skimmer. Piece of junk. Kill it with fire! :smash: That same skimmer was my first one when i started the hobby a few years ago. Never got a consistent amount of skimmate from it and it produces so many micro bubbles in my DT.
