Skimmer impeller question

Hi
I've had this skimmer used for a while.. Need help. This Diablo was running with new impeller for 3 years. Now it's foaming power is reduced a bit...

For the PSK600 pump... Impeller is like $50 avg. Should I get new pump or just replace impeller? What's better? Any other pump?

Assuming the pump has been cleaned....check the inside of the venturi. What happens is some calcification occurs at the air- water interface effecting bubble formation. I actually have to scrape it off with my venturi....almost looks like a miniature stalactite. See if that's your problem.

Thx... In the second picture why are there two tubes going into a plastic cup that is clear ...for the air intake? Is the plastic cup supposed to have an air filter cuz I don't have one..! It's not supposed to have any water.

Also basically how do you tell if impeller needs replacement because it's made of plastic and it looks the same as a new one.. Mine ran 3-4yr.

I'll check for snails, calcium deposits as you said soon..
