So I was looking at my tank and I noticed one of my rocks in my scape were kind of teetering. So I got the epoxy putty I used about 1 inch to an inch and a quarter to connect my rocks better. I went up stairs and luckily I came back down in 20 mins. My skimmer was overflowing like crazy!!!!!! Is this normal and is it harmful. Luckily I cleaned my skimmer out prior to this lol.

What kind of epoxy did you use? If reef safe, it will settle down by tomorrow. Turning off the skimmer till then wont hurt a thing.

Any substance added to your tank will normally mess with the skimmer....whether it be food, epoxy, your hands, etc. It will pass. At times when it is really bad, I have connected a drain hose to the bottom of the drain cup, and let the water drain right back into the tank, pointing it at a charcoal pad. This speeds up the process to remove whatever is causing the overflow.
