Skimmer issue - help

Hi all, my bubble king mini skimmer is acting weird. When plugged in, it intermittently starts and stops for a few min then shuts off. This pattern repeats itself if I unplug and replug the skimmer... any idea what may be causing this ?

Have you cleaned the pump recently? Mine did something similar and the impeller and impeller housing needed to be cleaned. Good to from there
