Skimmer Issue

I have a new curve 5 for my 72g DT. Im just setting up the tank. I only have sand in the tank. Im getting bubbles outside the skimmer. Is this part of the break in process or do I have an issue? Another member said it looks like a air leak.

if the skimmer is new, yes it is normal to have micro bubbles during the break in period. Nothing to worry about for a week or so. Also possible to happen when any surfactant is added to the system. I get it when feeding certain coral foods.
