Needing to replace an old skimmer. I'm having an issue finding one tall enough. My sump is 16" and the water level stays around 15". All the ones I've seen are for 8"-9" levels. The entire skimmer is probably 20" tall.

It's around 10 years old.

Thank you.

hi, which skimmer do you have ?
pic ?
ASM ,skimmers run great at any water level ,without fluctuating...

My understanding is that water level in your sump is too high for skimmer you are considering to buy?
If so you can use skimmer stand, either ready one if you want, or make one from eggcrate and PVC pipes.

What’s your budget? How much space, L x H x W, do you have for your skimmer?

Lifereef VS2 or VS3 would work with your water height.

BTW, you are playing with flood and fire if the water height is only 1” below the top of the sump.

To be honest I can't tell! My buddy put it in years ago before I got into doing it myself. My man at LFS said all the ones they sell are too short. Thank you. 94D5145C-2CA7-4D38-854E-89F269A6386C.jpeg C9271BDD-5D61-4155-8589-218A91F13840.jpeg
