Skimmer issues please help

Why does my skimmer keep bubbling out under the lid. Extremely frustrating. It’s an SCA302 skimmer. I have had it for 2.5 years now and this problem started about a month ago.

My guess is your lid holes are clogged, all that air has to go somewhere. It's likely pushing the lid up and the foam out with it.

Did you change something in your tank? Looks like a lot of organic waste coming from the DT.

Nothing new with the tank. The holes were clogged, but I can’t figure out why it keeps happening.

Had the same issue with my 302. I ended up making a secondary drain for it and using the drain plug.

So glad the motor finally died!

You'll realize what a point of sale it is when it dies and you'll have to buy a new one. lol

Normally with a dry skin you get the never popping bubbles.. it looks like you are running a little wetter skim then I do. I would wash all the nasty off the skimmer lid till it is like new. Might fix the problem or buy you time to figure it out
