I got the aquamaxx nf1 nano skimmer but it only fits sideways in my AIO. A magnet holds it in place, which means the magnet has to be in the water in this case. It’s entirely covered in a plastic covering, not sure what material.

Could this leech chemicals into the tank? Perhaps break down? Anyone have experience with this product or know if the magnet is reef safe?

Thanks!

If the plastic is one piece you will be OK, but I would still check on it every so often to make sure the plastic hasn’t cracked.

It’s reef safe bro. Almost all reef equipment is, because they know we will have it either in water or near water.

Ok thanks for letting me know
