Skimmer making gurgling noise with new pump

Just had to replace my sicce sk 200 pump. Since doing so there has been a horrible gurgling noise coming from the tube off the venturi portion connected to the pump. I took apart the entire skimmer and gave it a vinegar bath with the new pump and cant get this noise to go away. Ive never had this happen with the old pump. Any idea how to correct this? Is the pump bad?

Sounds like something could be clogged.

Which was my thought too hence the vinegar bath...started the skimmer up again ran without any noise for a little, then the gurgling came back
