Was hoping that I could get some help here. I have tried all that I can think of. I have a Octo Regal 300int and it has been an awesome skimmer for the year that I have had it. Just recently I noticed that the amount of foam it was creating seems to be less and less. I clean my skimmer out regularly, and that includes taking the pump apart and cleaning out the needle wheel, venturi and air line/silencer for any buildup. I know that the venturi for this one has a lip inside of the intake, and have used dental picks to clean it as well as a good soak in citric acid. Even after a thorough cleaning I still can not get this to foam correctly. The skimmer sits in about 7" of water and is sitting on a bed of maxspect bioplates. The Varios 6s responds to the controller as far as increase/decrease power, this definitely seems to be an issue with air intake I just can't figure out where

Are you seeing any difference in the air mixture within the skimmer? Does the water-air-foam inside the skimmer body not look the same as before? I would start by lowering the water level inside the skimmer so it's before the neck a bit and see how the foam looks. If it's too watery and not foamy enough, take it apart and clean out your air intakes to the pump so you can get more air mixed into the water and get the good foamy feel going again. Likely it's the air mixture and not just that your tank isn't producing organics.....your skimmer is "caught up" with it's need to remove anything. Although that could be the case too.

Thanks Eric, I will check the depth of the skimmer and see if adjusting it will have any impact on it. At this point I am getting frustrated as I have taken everything out that is air delivery and cleaned and even replaced.
